To see the dede puppets in action go to Life of an Artist – the dede puppet film
Love it !!
Thanks. Poor L’Artiste trying so hard!
I do hope L’Artiste gets over his refusal!
It’s not that easy for an artist, you know. You nail your heart to the wall, each time!
Another interesting direction! I liked the moment L’Artiste received that stroke of inspiration!!
Thanks. Maybe L’artiste should have waited for another stroke of inspiration and not taken his first work to the exhibition :)
Great film, Dede. Loved L’Artiste.
Thank you so much, Kate,
L’Artiste is a sensitive soul, isn’t he?
Love it !! Did you make it with only pictures?
Thanks Lucy.
Yes, its made of a series of still images.
awesome!!
did you ever read “josephine, the singer” by franz kafka?
it’s about: what is an artist.
i love seeing the dedes in movement though it is a poor view on l’artiste :/(
No I haven’t read the story. It is an interesting subject and I am certainly going to read it now.
What do you think is L’artiste’s downfall here?
i don’t understand your question really.
how do you mean it?
yes, the kafka story is great. a true mystery.
a happy day for you and the deeds :)
With my question I was wondering why you think it is a poor view on L’artiste. I am really curious, as I have heard so many different interpretation of his behaviour already. :).
i hope i chose my my word well when i said “poor”.
what i meant to say:
L’Artiste is a sad man since he works (and lives?) more to impress than to be driven by a true passion for his painting.
he seems not really to know what he could tell and wether he has something to tell.
he cries, because he doesn’t sell. i think, to be a happy artist, his first and main concern should be wether he (!) thinks that he fulfilled well the mission he has: to produce a “good painting”. and good means for me, a true insight in his own world.
Thanks evad. Poor is a perfectly good word to summarise your thoughts :).
:)
