With video games, I sometimes wonder who is playing whom? This line will continue to get blurrier as the latest generation of technology becomes common usage.
In my opinion computer games are just the emporer’s new clothes. What do gamers do different than puppeteers? They take on a new personality and explore fantasy worlds, don’t they? But unlike non-digital puppets they have a pre-constructed framework in which they move, so the imagination is more channeled.
I will have an artist talk at the FoPO about this subject :)
